When I joined DPC last year, my initial thoughts were "great site! what a learning tool!" I still think that this site is great, judging by the great detail some commentators go into. However, I've been struggling recently with what I guess everyone is struggling with: lack of comments.
Don't take this as personal whining - I am whining for all of us. What are some of the numbers you are getting - not the scores, but views/votes/comments ratio?
for the passing time, I've got 153/104/2
and for the billboard I've got 215/150/2
Maybe I should have made my submission 640x322 :-)

Passing Time:
Votes: 112
Views: 156
Billboard:
Votes: 149
Views: 240
I guess I should feel good with that many comments but one was HAHAHA in Passing Time so I wouldn't count it. Why do people leave comments like this anyway. What help does it do me.

Try entering something people really don't like!) I got quite a lot of comments for "Bridges II" which scored just under 4.5. I'm doing much better on "Passing Time" - currently just over 5.5 - but I've only got one comment so far.

Maybe they could make it mandatory to comment on say 5% of entries before votes are valid. I think it would raise commenting alot. |
