If people do read the title and knew the reference it makes along with the shot itself, there would be a perfect understanding of what I'd done. The picture is very specific to how one passes time, in an "out of the ordinary" way and is dead on accurate.
Whether people like the photo or not is another story.
If the voters don't read titles or dig deeper...I'm dead in the water but I expected that. I did get two great comments so not all is lost.

| I'm baaaa-ack! I took a little break after my last two duds, but started getting update button withdrawal. I started this one over 7, cratered to 4.00, then back up to 6.38 with 7 comments. Hey, let's not do that rollercoaster ride again OK? I nearly got sick the first time. :-P |

| Well, we just realized we had internet access at the hotel we are at and the time was 2230 local on sunday. So my GF and I were racking our brains for a shot we could do for Passing Time. We decided on one but I did not have much time to set up the shot and then... well it was all just so rushed. I think if I had had more time I would have gotten a better score... |

| I went from a 5.3 to 5.6 with a couple of votes...but now its back to 5.3....what bothers me is that i haven't gotten any comments on why they are voting so low on it...the 2 comments that i do have are very very good so.... |

I don't know about others, but I never comment on anything between 4 and 7 unless there is something unique about it, or if I find something funny to say. ;-) Do you comment on all the 4, 5 and 6's you give? Do you consider a 5 (about what you mentioned your average on this challenge is), bad enough to feel compelled to comment on? Just seems like you're over-reacting to lack of comments. From my anecdotal experience on this site, people comment when they give very low scores or very high scores.

your right I usually comment on my higher votes too so i shouldn't complain, it's just that I was expecting a higher score for this photo, thanx for your response and good luck 2 u too ;) |
