I think the first of the lighthouse shots and the waterfall after you've removed the mud are the strongest. I also like the bird (though I'm not quite sure why) - those three would give you a nice variety of entries. Best of luck - though I'm sure you won't need much :P!

I left you some comments--may not have put my name in on each since it made me enter it each time. There are lots of strong images to pick from, and I am not too sure of my skills at picking them for a juried competition, having never entered or won one (other than site POTD kind of thing).

But I would agree with Owen that of your picks, 2, 3, and 4. With some tweaking, # 7 is a good pick too.

But my favorite is one you didn't offer--the one "postcard like" park-service waterfall. But it would depend on the competition--and I don't really think I understand how to pick for those.

Once again, thank you to all of you for your kind words and votes.

Neil, especially you. Thank you for taking time out to make all of the great comments you left on my site. I so appreciate it. I'm not sure why I didn't choose the raging waterfall pic... Thanks for the nice words on it though. Although I may not use it for the exhibit, I will now get some prints of it to sell (I can do that because the people are unidentifiable, right??). I hadn't seen that as a even a choice. I still need to work on that - I am so biased about my work that I often put things aside that I should probably be considering. I assume if I don't like, others won't either.

I hope to get back to all of your portfolios and leave a few comments in return.

Final results (+/-1)

#1 - 2
#2 - 12
#3 - 9
#4 - 15
#5 - 4
#6 - 3
#7 - 3 + 2 maybes :-)
Other - 1

I think I will go with numbers 2, 3, and 4. Thanks for helping me out with this.

lol, thank you! I really like the bird as well. It's one of my most recent shots. I think I like it because the bird's backing is facing me and he's turning his head to see me. A lot of bird pics seem to be more of the front or side views. I dunno...I love that shot though. :-)
