I'm told one of my Dolphin pictures was published today in the Monterey Herald. It helped illustrate an article on dolphins and whales and the nice folks at Sanctuary Cruises submitted it on my behalf. I've seen other DPCers talk about being published, and yes, it is quite a thrill!
And if anybody down that way gets the paper and feels like sending the article along, well, I'd be eternally grateful!

Congrats! It's quite a thrill to find out you've been published. Is the photo you posted the one that is being published? It's a cool shot.

Congrats to you!!!!!!! I may be sending in to a hot rod mag soon myself, and I am sure I will be as happy as you if it happens. How cool for you! You have to get copies!!

Yep, that's the one. It's a Risso's Dolphin, BTW.

Yes! Good one! And indoor action shots are not the easiest ones to get, either. You used a fill flash?
I was getting some indoor practice in, this weekend, shooting a girl's soccer match and without the use of flash, had to boost the ISO to 400. The results were, to say the least, grainy. |

Way to go Alice. Quite a thrill to take that kind of picture and then to get it published, the icing on the cake!
