About 2 weeks ago I purchased the Sigma 500 DG Super flash trying to save a few hundred bucks. Most everything I took with it seemed to be underexposed no matter even if I increased the FEC in the camera or on the flash itself. I tried this with both my Digital Rebel as well as my 20D.
Well, I sent the Sigma Flash back and ordered the Canon 580EX. All I'm going to say about the 580EX is, "WOW!!!"... ...what a difference and awesome flash!!! I'm not going to try and cut corners any more just to save a few hundred bucks!!! I highly recommend the Canon 580EX for anyone with a DR or 20D!!!
Just in case anyone wanted to know. :o)

I use the 580EX with the 10D, and I love this flash, no doubt about it. Although not all of its features are supported, I plan on upgrading at some point to a higher level body, and so boght the 580. I'm not looking back!
