?? Konica/Minolta Z10 (3.2 MP, 8x opt. zoom)
?? Nikon Coolpix 4100 (4.0 MP, 3x opt. zoom, AF assist illuminator)
My daughter asked me to me recommend a ($200 or less) digital camera. Would any of you care to lend any advice as to which of these two you would choose? (I could land either for prox. $180)
(No specific requirements, just a 'carry around' point and shoot)

This one?
But then, I would say that, wouldn't I?

Oops misunderstood the limited choice :-) I think I'd go for the Nikon. My father has one, and it seems really good in the point and shoot line - sensible in camera proocessing, plenty of options, solidly built, not too large ...

I have a Minolta Dimage Z1, and it works...but I wish I went with Canon or something...it's got a bunch of frustrating flaws. But it's cool for just pointin' and shootin' though the focusing kinda sucks.

I am not ruling out other (better) choices in the price range, but base on my limited research, those two models looked pretty good.
