You should be able to post a thumbnail to any image in your DPC portfolio.
What you need to do is find out the image number - you will see this in the URL for that picture (i.e. go to your portfolio, hover your mouse over a link to one of your pictures: if your browser supports it, you will see the url in the status bar. Alternately, click the link, in the URL you will see something like "/image.php?IMAGE_ID=141882" at the end. It's the 141882 you need. Now, click the thumbnail icon on the post page - it will ask you for an image id and then insert "thumb" surround by square brackets, then the number, then /thumb - again with the square brakets. This will display your image as a thumbnail:

That isn't what she was asking.. she wants to thumbnail photos from a seperate web host.
Thank you for the explanation Joe. But it is what Artyste is explaining that I want to know. :) So in order to have a portfolio, you need to be a member. Correct?
I'd like to know how to post thumbnails of my pics linked here?
I use Image Cave to host my shots, but how do I post a linked thumbnail on here?
thanks much~
Heidi
ImageCave gives you most of what is needed on the folder page for the image, so make sure that is open in a seperate window for easy copying.
Here is an example screenshot of ImageCave's folder window for reference:
Step 1: Start a new forum post.
Step 2: Click on the button to 'Insert Hyperlink' just above the text box for entering the message -- it's the one that looks like a small globe.
Step 3: In the first dialog box that comes up, the one that says to 'Enter the full URL for your link', copy the contents of the textbox on the ImageCave folder page that says URL: next to it. Click OK.
Step 4: In the second dialog box that comes up, the one that says to 'Enter the TEXT for your link (optional)', copy the contents of the textbox on the ImageCave folder page that says EZCode:, but DO NOT press OK just yet.
Step 5: The dialog box now contains image code for the original image, but what we want is the image code for the thumbnail ImageCave creates for you. To get that all that is needed is to change the filename by adding icth_[b] before and [b].jpg after.
For example, I uploaded to ImageCave a copy of my highest ranked image, which has this in the EZCode textbox (extra space added):
This last (without the added space) is what is placed in the dialog box asking for the Text of the image.
Step 6: Click OK. ;)
It produces the following:

/edit: BTW: when uploading, you will probably want to uncheck the box that says you want them to optimize your images for you. If you leave this checked the server will recompress your images to a size they feel is appropriate for web use -- i.e. very small. This will destroy most images with compression artifacts.
