What are good all around sites to find models?
With all around i mean all around the world sites that have models to hire from everywhere.

That's pretty much the best out there. I've checked out a bunch of others, and there seems to be nowhere near the number of models available. Plus, from what I've seen most of the models on the other sites, are also on OMP.

do the ameuters pose for mone your do they usually pose for experience, trading it with the photographer or aren't you familiar with this?

I've talked to magnetic9999 a lot about it, and I understand that the models do it free for prints, and the photographers do it free for rights to the photos.

lol... i registered in one model place now for some time and they are saying that i owe them 10 bucks... how come... did anyone have this happen to them to?

it costs $10 for a yearly membership. I just signed up today too.

I have maintained a Platinum account on OneModelPlace.com for some time now. Its an good resource for me. I have gotten paying jobs from my work there. I've also shot tons of TFP/TFCD for people who are trying to get started in the industry. Quite often the way the process works with me is that I see someone in my area who has little or no professional work done towards a portfolio. I offer to shoot with them TFP or they contact me to do a shoot for them. They take the work I give them and use it on OMP to get more work from people with more experience and more polished looks. Sometimes this process leads to them dropping their OMP account as they get picked up on exclusive contracts or they get an agent who reps them for work.

There are people on OMP who just want to photograph the raciest shots they can get away with and then there are "models" who just want "sexy" photos of themselves. If you're into that, you can find a fairly steady supply of work either by paying for it, being paid or working TFP/TFCD. Then there are the startups. People who have been told they should model and they want to "try it out". These seldom stick with it as truly making a living at modeling takes tenacity, professionalism and some measure of ability. Finally there are the true professionals who actually pick up work for national campaigns but still like to work with photographers because its just a kick for them. I've been lucky enough to shoot with a couple of those people. For most its just a stepping stone or its a toe in the water.

Take what you can get, don't take it personally when someone misses an appointment, tell people what you'll do and then follow through for them and OMP can be a good resource.

I use GarageGlamour and half-a-dozen other sites but OMP is by far and away the best site for both the quantity of subjects and the quality of the work that is consistently produced.
