I think I'm finally going to purchase a Canon Digital Rebel. Does anyone know where I could find a good deal?

I was looking for a camera for my wife last week, and I think I remeber seeing the Rebel with a rebate, or on sale somewhere. I'll see if I can find it again and put the info in this post if I do find it.

I got mine from Beach Camera. They usually have pretty good prices.

Can you wait a month?
The new Rebel 350XT is due in March, for $899. It is that much better it is worht getting.
If you want to save a buck or two, teh Rebel 300D is $869 at b&h w/ kit lens, about $100 less without and 909 with teh kit-USM lens. black body is about $40 more last i checked. (the XT is black by default)
I bet this price will drop next month...the rebate is over (jan 31).

whatever you do, check //www.resellerratings.com first.
//www.resellerratings.com/seller2375.html - they score a .27 on a scale of 1-10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have heard horror stories about the above outfit and most others out there. I got mine form b&h, showed up at my house in 2 days. (pittsburgh PA). beachcamera was slightly cheaper, but did not have the accessories i needed, so the double shipping negated most of the savings and added to the hassle factor.

I have order several things from these people and they have always had good prices and I have not had any problems. Not sure if their price is a good deal on a Rebel

On digitalliquidators i thnk they have grey model cameras or cameras not design for the US or the warranty is no good theres always a catch ....... i saw a Fuji S2 for about 600 bucks i knew that was to good to be true

| If the price is too good to be true the vendor is probably lying about some aspect of the product. Many of the really aggressive dealers will strip all accessories, including software, batteries, adapters, cables, shipping (they really get wild here), etc. and then depend on talking you into purchasing these 'extras' at prices that drive the final tag above the price offered by reputable dealers. Spend the extra $100-$200 and be satisfied that the product is complete and warranteed! One of the best discount dealers is Newegg, modest prices and no hassles. |

I have been looking for myself a 300D and the best price I found was at B&H Photo. A lot of people here recommend this website. I would feel pretty safe with them.
I bet this price will drop next month...the rebate is over (jan 31). |
