		| | I used to consider photos shot through the windshield as the worst kind of photography, but now that I have been shooting digital where there is no cost to shooting I have been getting addicted to shooting through the windshield.
A photo taken through a windshield has a lot going against it, bug splatter, tint of the windshield, reflectionsâ€Â¦ But I find that I enjoy looking back over the photos that I have taken through the windshield, even if they are not technically good photos they can give a feel of time and place.

Here are some of mine, what have other people shot through the windshield?

		| | I do this a lot. I've also submitted a few to Windscreen Gallery -- a website dedicated to the genre.
I have some in a couple of pBase galleries, Moving Pictures and Road Signs and License Plates.

 My first two DPC submissions:

Some (mostly) better ones taken since, one of them of a windshield you really couldn't photograph through, and some out a side window. The newer bridge photo was taken out of a moving train window, the older when I was a passenger so I wasn't actually driving at the time for either of those.

		| | I also did think that taking picture throught the windshield was not worth it.
That was before I came across a bunch of cariboos running in front of the Jeep. I just grab the camera and strted shooting throught the windshield while driving at the same time. Some pictures turned out pretty good.

		| | I've entered a few here - some good, some not so good.
And one of my most successful stock photos was taken through the windshield.

		| | Wow! Some of these are fantastic! Here are mine.

I enjoy industrial scenes and love the juxtaposition of nature vs machine, seen often in my area.

Alain, I love the caribou pics. (hubby said they looked yummy)

		| | Funny that there should be a thread on this...this photo, and a bunch of others, was taken while commuting into Boston. The sunrise was spectacular and I just had to get some shots. I wasn't driving and the windshield was pretty clean (thankfully), so some of them didn't come out half bad. |

		| | Man did you just go through a car wash because these are good. I only see one photo that has bugs in it. I was suprise how sharp they are too. I took this through the windshield but also through another piece of glass too, the two windows gave it it's effect. I wish I had more time so maybe I could have gotten it a bit sharper.

Admittedly the first two were taken through an open car-door window, but I did freeze for it :) The last is through the windshield.

Funny I was thinking the same thing. If I took photos through my windshield you would barely be able to see what I was taking a picture of through all the dirt and bug guts.
