I have a huge wildlife photo assignment coming up next month and need a few more lenses. I bought the EF 70-200/2.8 USM two days ago and need a 300/2.8 to help round things out. I will buy it next monday.
What I decided to do to make this as fast and easy as I could was to sell some of the cameras and equipment that I have sitting in boxes on shelves, some of which has not been used in several years.
I do hate to part with some of these cameras and lenses as some have been by my side me for years. The sentiment is strong, but my eyes are not good enough any more to use most of these manual focus cameras anyway. Screw sentiment, live for today.
Perhaps part of what makes a good photographer is being resourseful enough to procure the needed equipment to capture the images we dream of. Looking back on this one day will be the only way to know.
I have a few other items up for sale and I'll be putting up a couple more in the next day or two as I go through my equipment.
