It's a fine line ... we seem to let people who are already active members of the DPC community let others know about "outside" stuff.
We jump all over people who join for the express purpose of advertising their business.
You could argue that giving away a free 50mb online photo hosting account to DPC members is a service, not an attempt to exploit the members or site. However, emailing members (spamming the member list) is never allowed.
To answer your more important question, this thread would seem to be the appropriate place to put a link to your site:

I just got an account earlier today - and i must say that this site is awesome. Since I am not a member here, it provides a wonderful place to post my photos where others can see them, and comment on them.

In your defence tripkebab, I signed up yesterday and got my e-mail confirnmation within a minute.
Maybe its just me being thick or new to forum type sites but I didn't realise at first that I had to register seperately to be able to post, I didn't have to do that on DPC. You might want to make that a bit more obvious?

Owen, those do look nice! Frank, how about a list of options for the slideshow transitions -- fade isn't always the most appropriate, or did I miss that setting somewhere? |

I figured they'd know the password, but just realized that's probably hidden even from the admins. Maybe a new password can be assigned -- that's what most places do. |

Signed up just now, received my activation email to my hotmail account within about 15 seconds (ie went STRAIGHT to hotmail and in the time it took me to login the email was there) and activated and successfully logged in.
Will explore the site when I get a chance, for the moment seemed a good idea to grab a free account whilst available and go along for the ride...

Thanks for activating me. Seems there's a problem with the brightness/saturation/hue tweaking code. Not sure the numbers work as the help text describes. And leaving a blank box for hue should leave the hue alone in my opinion. Instead it seem to take that as a zero value and does some wacky things.
Also the javascript error text for when you enter a value above 100 is showing an uninterpreted php instruction.
Looks good so far though mate.
My one biggest request would be for the ability to upload ZIP files containing multiple images.
