I was bored so I did a quick 5 minute extreme makeover.
I simulated a blue grad filter on the sky, played with levels, saturation, and contrast, and burned some of the 'lighter' areas of the image to isolate the schoolhouse some.
It looks like an interesting structure. I'm not too found of the trees as I feel they steal some of the viewing from the house. You may want to try and reshoot different angles and perspectives. The wood and broken windows could be good as standalone images also.

moodville, I love what you did to the photo, but disagree about the trees - I think they are perfect!!
I am imagining that scene on a clear night under a full moon - nidan, you better get yourself a tripod and try that, too :-)

Sorry, but I have a newbie question. How did you isolate the sky to do the gradient fill? I have a hard time with trees in this situation.
