I am working on this peice for a friend. I am unhapy with the contrast in the shot. I don't care for the whay the center picture stands out so much from the rest of the shot. I also feel it looks a little flat. Any tricks, tips or help would be greatly apreciated.

What program are you using? try using a strongly feathered brush and softening the outside of the face
then use the burn tool to make the edges darker and in general the shadows darker, and I think you will improve it :)

Here's a really quick and rough edit which shows what I'm thinking but is by no means well done.
I added a shadow inside the brain from the edge of the skull, and a darkened line at the other side in a fleshy tone.
I burned the face a lot to get it to merge with the background more and give it more depth.
I tried to match the contrast and greeny tones with the background so it looks less pasted on and so the lady stands out more.

The woman and the chimney stands out because it's the only thing not in the green color. It's also not blended very well with the image. Use the color layer as the top layer and try changing the opacity of the layers to get different effects. |

There's really nothing anyone can do to help without possession of the 4 original images that comprise this montage. One thing you might try is to copy the green "hands" layer, lay the copy as a new layer on top, and fade its opacity down. You need to do something with the hard edges of the topmost image as well.
I see both approaches are suggested elsewhere.
