If you are familiar with Flash I would suggest downloading some open source and break it down to see how its done. I would suggest going to //www.flashkit.com and then clicking Movies then enter ZOOM in the search area. I know flash pretty well so you can msg if you have any questions and I will try my best to help.

I would think maybe a motion tween from a smaller photo to a larger photo. Thats how I would do it. If thats what your talking about.

I agree. Have done that before with text. Should be the same with an image. Be sure to post your results. |

I thought the same thing at first but I think since he is talking about panorama that he means there would be user input, such as zooming in on certain spots instead of a predetermined spot or a whole image zoom at once. :o)

not really you now like those gigabyte pictures, on the site you can zoom in and zoom out, would that be better to do in flash or shockwave?
Maybe it's too complicated for me. :(

You can even do it in javascript with HTML (DHTML), and in flash ActionScript which is almost Javascript).
Not that I have been writing them all my life, but I have seen it and tried it. |

As suggested before, Flashkit might have a free script that you can open and edit yourself to your taste. Usually these files come with a readme file with instructions on what and how you can edit them.
Places line //www.hotscripts.com would have loads of free scripts of different types you can use for various things.

You might need FlashMX to open it... try looking on that site for scripts for the version of Flash you currently have. I'm sure there are some for Flash 5 or even Flash 4.
