Yellow Everyone!

I'm back with yet another web developer questions.
So I have this site in development & I wanted to have a bulletin board & chat room on the site, but they both require different usernames & passwords. This seems like it could be a bit annoying to have to have 2 UN & PW for one site. Iw as wondering if any genius web developers out there could help in manipulating and/or writing scripts that would allow me to use both site functions with just one UN & PW.

Many thanks to everyone.
peace.

What apps are you using? last year I lost a month or so of my life porting IPB into PHBNuke. Some of my code is now in a semi-official port.

um.. let's see... I wanna use the php chat with the phpbb 2.0. Both are available via the cpanel from my web host. I asked them & they instructed me to find a web developer that knows what they're doing.

Any out there? Got anything for me ES?

If it's available from the cpanel of the webhost, it's unlikely because you don't have root access to the MySQL database. Maybe they have a script that creates a default user (different) for each application seperately.
Even with the access you get to through phpMyAdmin, you would not be able to update the MySQL database
edit: users.

is this true, even tho the tech guy said that I would be able to if I could get a web deve to manipulate script?
Another questions: what about htpasswords? can I sync it with the phpbb UN & PW?
