For speed I don't see how it beats this.

Continuous shooting speed: High-speed continuous: Approx. 8.5 shots/sec.
Max. burst : RAW: Approx. 20 shots
File size: RAW: Approx. 8.3 MB (3504 x 2336 pixels)
Total pixels: Approx. 8.50 megapixels

1D Mark II

Well it beats it if you want the ability to shoot bursts of more than 20 frames at a very fast speed.

With Wifi, too...I get it, it's the perfect journalists camera for a really good price.

Oh boy, if I go to school next year, should I switch to Nikon?

Answer me, Canon!

Edit: and RGB histogram...but 4.1 mp???

Not by much.

This record-breaking speed is achieved even when recording in the Large JPEG setting (approx. 3,504 x 2,336 pixels). 8.5fps are maintained during maximum bursts of 40 shots (20 shots in RAW format), whether recording in the One-Shot AF or AI Servo AF mode. Bursts are first recorded to memory to ensure maximum speed and then transferred to memory card for storage. The number of shots remaining during a burst is displayed on the right side of the viewfinder.

And this is done at twice the Mp resolution.

1D Mark II still rules in this department.

Not quite sure so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...doesn't the sensor size and quality compensate for only being 4mp? I was told that even though it maybe a lower megapixel the sensor in the DSLR's are bigger than the point n click cameras. Giving you a sharper, larger and better 4mp image. Is that right?

You are corect if you are only comparing them to some of the 4Mp point and shoots. Compared to some of the other higher res DSLRs though, it doesn't look impressive.

Next month
$3499 MSRP

Megapixels isn't the only thing. GPS and wireless are wanted /needed by many folks.

The D2Hs is compatible with the new IEEE802.11b/g Wireless Transmitter WT-2/2A, providing faster image transmission with improved security and compatibility with the latest protocols, as well as offering capability for wireless remote control of the D2Hs from a computer with Nikon Capture 4 version 4.2.1 (optional) software installed. Of course, support is also maintained for the Wireless Transmitter WT-1/1A developed for the D2H.

Another feature adopted from D2X development is support for GPS devices, which can connected using the optional new MC-35 cable to include in the shooting data information such as latitude, longitude and altitude at the time of capture.

Thanks for clearing this up for me, I'm looking for a new camera and want to step way above my 5mp so this really helps.

For news its fine, unless you need to do a whole lot of cropping. The paper I'm shooting for uses the D1H, only 2-3 mp I think. The analogy given to me was that the paper its printed on is a step up from toilet paper. As such, resolution isn't as important.
