Open Challenge: Bridges II
Rules: Basic Editing (Updated 1/5/05)
Submission: Feb. 9th - Feb. 15th
Submissions: 387 <--- Unreal
The competition just gets stiffer and stiffer. I understand why 50% of the images get lumped in with the 5's.

I think there have been about 400 Bridges II outakes posted in the forums.

| I didn't submit the picture I wanted to. It didn't come out right when I looked at it on the computer and I couldn't get the set-up again. I just hope I don't get laughed out of my first challenge. As of a couple of minutes ago there were 421 submissions. |

I was going to start rating tonight, but I'm not sure I can get through very many with any kind of mentallity remaining. I'm going to have to wait until later to vote.

7 votes, 4.28. this is WAY below what i should be getting on this pic. Sorry, but it's true. It may not be a ribbon winner, but it IS a bridge, well shot, etc. Anything below a 5 is criminal!

Wow, congratulations. That's an incredibly strong start- especially judging by the number of comments (and one favorite already!)
Mine's sitting around 4.1, maybe a bit lower than expected, but not by much. It's too silly for most, I figure ~_~ |

So so many submissions...I know what you mean messer. I think there are some great shots in this challenge, as well as a whole bunch of 5's.
the top ten contenders will be separated by tiny margins. |

28 votes a 6.32 avg. hanging in there. scores are going to drop and rise sporadically due to voting fatigue and the number of submissions. Speaking of voting fatigue good night untill tomorrow DPC .

Hi - just a comment about my ability to vote/ comment. Unfortunately, I am in a place where I pay for download traffic. If I am to download each of the 424 images before decising which to vote/ comment upon, it get quite expensive... so I admire from afar. When I can organise a less expensive broadband deal... you will get me involved. Sorry about that.

At least as many people vote as submit images, actually. It's just that a lot of people don't get to vote on every image. If 4000 people cast 10 votes each, that's only 100-ish votes for each image.

I shot mine as an optical illusion..... and I am getting SLAMMED for it! I don't think people get things sometimes!

And if 4000 people vote to hit the 20% minimum it comes out to 805 votes for each image.
422 images = 85 vote on to hit 20%
4000 people x 85 images = 340000 total votes
340000/422 = 805 votes per image (rounded down)
