The weakest part of my photography... I did a model shoot with a few models on Sunday,
here's one of the shots (with quite a lot of Photoshop!)
I used natural light, although I did use studio lighting in some of the later shots.
Before I work on the others, I'd be curious to see what people make of it, opinions greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Bob

Did you burn the BG or dodge the model? I'm seeing some weird haloing in some areas of the BG around the model.

Yeah, I did both... I don't see that on my monitor! Darn... |

Does it look like it's fixable if I just paint the background black? |

Probably as it appears just away from the model's outline itself |

I really like it. But yeah, there is a white halo around her hands/arms. Totally fixable. But you gotta be able to see them first :-)

Bob, I'm looking at it on my laptop monitor and see the brush marks around the entire body where you worked on it. If you open it in Photoshop and turn up the brightness you will see it too. |

I'm looking at this on my suck-ass monitor here at work and I can see the haloing around the whole model.

What would I do without you guys?
I tend to work with quite a low brightness on my monitor...
check it out now, it should be better. You may need to clear your cache if you've already seen the 'haloed' version. |

Nobody else mentioned this, so maybe it's me, but I'm seeing a yellowish tinge in her face. That, and its extra luminescence, make her face appear unnatural to me, and quite distracting. I like the lighting on the rest of her, and her black lingerie against the black background works well. Her pose is a bit stiff. Must have been a fun shoot. :)
