I am not sure what's wrong with my monitor. I have received some comments about things I CAN NOT see on my monitor...
Have to wait after Pink finishes and will post some links...
I am realy concerned.
Seems that the voters are seeing different than me!
I reopened the file in PS and increased the brightness and, horror, the things are there. I wonder if this happened to the other challenges!!!
What should I do?
Thanks!
Edit: I do process my photos for shutterstock on my home PC. The same monitor!!! No wonder I got rejections recently...
Help!

I got into Control Panel and did soem Adobe Gama adjustments.
Now I see what they are tlaking about but the fact is that I am not happy with this settings - I realy don't like the way the colours are displayed...

It sounds like your black level is off, you will get a lot of people suggesting you gamma is off but if you are not seeing things in the photo then the best bet is black level. Go to the voting page and look at any photo, at the bottom there will be a strip with squares that get darker going to the left, if your monitor is working very well you will see all the squares, if the black level is off the one of the far left will all look black. If this is in fact happening you need to adjust the black level on your monitor, or you need to adjust the output from your video card. how to do either of these depends on your monitor and video card

Thanks Scott.
I tryed different ways and there is something wrong. When I adjust it to see all the blacks on the voting page, well, I see all the blacks but the colors are so brght and washee that hurt my eyes.
I'll try more and go to ask some technicians.

Black level, brightness, contrast are all essentially linked to one another. Black level is actually the last of the three you should be adjusting. It should be in a neutral position while you adjust brightness and contrast, then use the DPC squares to tune the black level. There's a site that's good for this, I'll try to find it and post it.
Robt.
Meanwhile, here's a very good page of variosu charts and explanations of what/how to adjust to get calibrated.

Thanks guys.
It's really sad. I calibrated and had a quick look at my porofolio and I must say I am not very happy.
Even my poverty ribbon October 2004 and the School is Fun realy do not look like I wanted them to look>
Well, good lesson for an amateur!
Thanks again.
I'm looking forward for tomorrows Self Portrait

That's my glorious Pink entry. Pretty weird look. I am surprised it scored so good! And only 3 1's! Anyway is my lowest score and seems I am going on a very descending road ;-(
This is how I saw it before calibrating my monitor and how I wanted it to look.
