Is it worth upgrading to PS CS from PS 7? I know it has the RAW options but is the rest of it worth it or better to save money and stick with PS 7 and just use File Viewer Utility? |

You could get the free Camera Raw plugin for Photoshop 7, if that's the only additional feature that interests you.

I'd say it's worth it. I read a lot about 'photoshop 7 vs cs' before I upgraded, and everyone just basically said it really wasn't worth it. I think it's worth the upgrade -- if you have the momey, obviously. If you have a daughter that needs braces, for God's sake, get the poor girl some braces...but if that money is burning a hole in your pocket go for it -- I doubt you'll be disapointed.

If you shoot in RAW, or work in 16 bit, it's worth it. |

I have paid for several versions of both (Mac & PC) and it is definatly worth it for me. I could if I had to, but I wouldn't to go back.

I wasn't sure it was worth the upgrade before I bought my MAC and had to buy a MAC version of PS any way. I used it on my MAC for three days before I bought the upgrades to CS for my PCs. It's hard to go back after you get used to using it.
