With those C-VR 3 Batteries or whatever they are called - that seems like an obscenely large number even with fancy batteries. Should I come to expect that kind of battery life, or did I just get lucky ?

Either way, the fact that I've only had my camera a few weeks, have only been more than 300 metres away from my house with it a couple of times and have still managed to fire off 1550 shots is a little worrying :).

My first pair of C-VR3 batteries only lasted about 1200 photos, but a lot of them were using the flash. I just replaced the second set after about 1300 photos.
