Tomorrow is my birthday, and as I try and do every birthday I will spend the day, letting everyone else worship the ground I walk upon, bask in my magnificent aura and pander to my every whim.
In reality I will spend the day hunting out Bridges and making mad dashes from behind the Tripod to gracefully and stylishly position myself in front of the camera to take self portraits.
I plan to do this in the morning as after numerous alcoholic tipples at lunch-time my camera handling skills will be greatly diminished.
I am posting this not because I want felicitation for the day (although they are always most welcome) but more to justify why next weeks challenge entries might appear a little soft in the focus department, with 'artistic' horizons, and colourful hues.

Get roaring drunk, then try to make us see the bridge the way you see it... or them. :)
Happy Birthday Ian!

Ooooh I know! I'll get rip roaring plastered too, take even worse bridge shots than I already do, and then compare with yours.
P.S. I've started early.
P.P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY (hahahah I said "PP") |

Just opened my pressies this morning.
One was a largish box which when unwraped had a picture on the side and the words Nikon D2X on the both the tops and the sides.
Wow I though thats a £3,500 camera. So I dived in and opened the box to find a wooden block inside with the words
"Sorry, we couldn't afford the real thing, so we thought the box was the next best idea.
Have a Happy Bithday,
PS look behind the sofa and you might find a few other photographic related items."
So I did and there were a few great books on general photography and lighting, which I realy wanted,
But it is a shame about the Nikon...............
Maybe next year eh....
