There was an article in a recent magazine all about panoram's...if only I could remember I could point you in the right direction...one second...
ok it was the Nov. / Dec. 04 issue of Digital Photo Pro and isn't as indepth as I remembered...sorry about that.
I think you can upload them to your portfolio here and order one???

goes all the way up to a 60x12 or 5:1
edit: wow that's really panoramic, huh -- that's 5 feet long by a foot high. there's other ratios on there too.

Hi Frederico,

This 18,800 x 3,600 pixel 300DPI stitched and edited shot came out STUNNING using DPCPrints at 60" x 12":

$12 per print plus shipping is base cost. (Matt finish is great BTW)
A true bargain considering it is a top-notch quality process and the images are well protected.
A little story about that print:
That particular morning, one of my son's wrestling coaches ask me if I could stop over and help him out with something on his wife's car. He said "bring your camera". The 4-image panoramic was from the deck on his house.
After he saw the stiched version on my computer one day, his eyes lit up and said he wanted that as his coaches gift this year.
(The kids chip in and do something nice for each of the coaches at the end of the season)
He is actually getting two copies - One matted and framed for his office, the second he wants to frame himself for his house from pieces of burnt fence boards he saved from the wildfires we had in Oct '03.
It sure is a great thing being able to affect one's life with the gift of a photograph.

I'm curious, do you think it would be possible to do a pano with images taken with a Canon 10-22 considering the distortion?

Unfotunately I am at work now. At home I have the website of a company in Atlanta and one in California that will do prints as big as you want them. I am going to get one that is 12ft long and about 2ft. wide. I will post those links here when I get home this afternoon.

Hi! I read this post with interest. I've got a couple of panoramics i'd love to print, mostly as gifts i'd say. There is a bit of distortion, but when i take it into account when merging (using the "wide-angle" setting on the canon stitch software) its changes the aspect ratio to 8:1!
I've uploaded them to DCPrints (i doubt anyone else will want to buy one but you never know!) but the maximum size I can order is 20x30, but its a 5:1 aspect ratio! How do i order a 12x60 of my own print?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I know i'm probably being stoopid, but its late in the day...and its friday (thank god)!
Cheers

Not dumb - just went through that too.
Set your price at base price, then order it from the regular order interface like a customer would.

You don't have to wait for approval to order your own, but in this specific case, it would have to have approval as you would be going through the public interface.
You can upload a print version and order it right away on anything and order one before approval.

as long as we're showing...this is a storm I climbed up on top of my building to capture...after the clouds above me starting rolling I got down :) It was amazing watching it roll in and move across the sky. I know its not up to par with a lot showed here but I love the storm clouds.
