Well, I know light ended a few days ago, and I am extremely happy with my entry, but I'm still questionable on how a shot of mine would have done. The photo itself was taken before the challenge but i was thinking of doing it again. I got the idea for this photo from someone else, and ended up using it for one of my photo a day pictures. I've had a few people tell me its abstract and I agree. Here's the picture:

It was quite simple. I hung a flash light from the ceiling, turned off the lights, set my camera to a 13 second exposure, and swing the flashlight around. Then in editing the black and white were reversed, so as you can probably tell, the black is where the flashlight was.

All comments and thoughts are welcome

That's a very nice image, zap, but I doubt it would have scored especially well. I like it quite a lot.

Just me but, it looks as though you had a piece of paper or other object on the floor(the darker part in the center of the photo) The light on that I really like. It looks like a shadow of an afternoon sun but you can't tell what the shadow is of. But I don't care too much for the lighter edges. The darker area going to the lighter area is too dramatic. As I said it is just me. But if it were cropped with just the darker area I would really like it.

Like this?

Well, the reason for the odd lines that differentiate the light are because there was a rectangular piece of foam board on an angle which the light was on aswell. I thoght it gave it more of a 3 demensional feel. It seemed flat without it.

Personally I'm not too keen on this image.

I really liked the one you did enter though. Well done with your first top 10 finish.
