Recently, there seems to be a huge increase in the number of posts on unfair voting and/or complaints of people voting down other images since their image is doing poorly. I would suggest, having one challenge, possibly even a speed challenge, be totally blind with no score updates showing up during the voting period. Just have everyone wait for the final score. It might be interesting, who knows

Great idea... and perhaps have 2 contests at one time, and people entering a contest could not vote on the contest they entered, only on the other contest.

Similarly, we could have a "speed bitching session" where all the gripes and complaints would have to be submitted within a prescribed time frame, following which we would all move on...

It's an even field of play as it is. If someone is screwing up your average with their messed up vote, chances are they or someone else is messing up the rest of them too.

Yeah, we could affectionally call it the "Whine Line"

or maybe everyone can stop being so concerned with why people are giving them such low scores, and focus on just taking better photos.

if you're happy with your submission, then don't worry about it. i think we are all here to get better at photography in one way or another. so if one of your photos hasn't hit a chord with the mass appeal, just step back and decide if YOU are happy with it.
