Their ugly but they work...I have been using (2) of the 1300mA Digipak batteries (shared between my pro 1 and my 20D) for a while now. No noticable difference in performance except for the ugly olive-drab color they use in the making of the AM batteries.
They generally don't have that cover like the canon with the hole in it so that you can place the cover on the battery to expose the blue sticker indicating that it is a fresh battery...but I don't use that anyway...not for 35 dollar difference. |

I have an aftermarket for my 300d and I never notice the difference between it and the Canon. I would certainly buy 2 aftermarket batteries before I bought a canon at the same price...

I have the Canon Rebel and the only difference I notice between brand name and after market batteries is the after market die faster in below zero temps. |

I have been using 2 aftermarket and 1 Canon for 1 1/2 yrs, and they all just recently started having a very short "charge span", and I have seen absolutely NO difference in them. I just got a shipment of 6 aftermarkets (6 for $30, including shipping), since they seem to have done as well as the Canon.
