Nice effect Robert,
I've done some "messin" myself in ps and there are some great looking effects filters about. Not sure if they go down well as prints, I have concidered it, any comments people ?

Hey there, I like the shot and the hill angle, but the texture hurts my eyes... Sorry. I wish it was nice and clear so i could see through the trees. |

heehee
Yes, much better. :)
I love it! The intensity of the colours through the darkness of the trees. The water looks positively inviting. |

No, you're right Guarawa; it doesn't "need" a filter. The filter I'm playing with is one I'll be using for graphic arts versions of photos (think book jackets) and I just pulled this 3-yr old image out of my files to experiment with the filter. I kind of liked the results, so I tossed it up in the wee hours of the morning.
But the original is a better photograph, for sure.

I like both interpretations of the image. I also wouldn't mind seeing it in B&W. The grain/filtered version reminds me of drawing by way of stippling(I have no idea if I spelled that right), it is when you draw with only using dots. It looks kinda cool. The overall composition is nice but it almost seems a little too busy. My eyes don't have a tendency to fall any main element. My eyes just keep wandering around looking for something of intrest to focus on.
Keep having fun with the experiments in PS. Sometimes you come up with really interesting results. |
