As some of you know, two weekends ago, my family made a trip from Richmond to Philadelphia to New York. On the ride up, I was looking for an entry for the Road Sign challenge; lo and behold, we passed a car parked right beside a "No Parking Anytime" sign. My ever-supportive wife didn't even blink when I whipped a u-turn to go back to get the shot. Unfortunately, the car had pulled away...
But, the reason the car was there was the driver had noticed all these gulls and ducks by this pond on the side of the road, and he had stopped to feed them. So we decided to do the same. The kids got out and started throwing crackers, and I wandered around chasing shots. As I didn't have a lot of time to set up, or to let them get used to me, I decided to go for the fringe shots.
And, of course, my Light challenge entry:
I was really on the fence about submitting it, but feeling inspired by the works of Aznym and Neil Shapiro, I decided to go for it. And I'm really glad I did. Thanks for all the comments and support! You all add just another layer of fun to the whole learning process. |
