Of the two I like the first one the best. It does look like it has perhaps just a tad too much USM as there is a hint of halos showing. Both photos have a nice feel to them.

The first one is definately my favorite. It has a moody feel to it. I like the toning you chose as well. For some reason I also really like the conversion in sky color.

Though the second one is pretty, it doesn't have much 'snap' for me. This might be in part due to the amount of noise that is noticably visible. I'm not sure if it was taken at a low resolution or just compressed for web too much.

Actually, it was taken in Raw, and it's crappy because it was shot at sunset without a tripod and at this point actually, the sun had already pretty much set. So I tried to optimize it as best as possible, but it wasn't really compressed at all.
