This was one of my Photo A Day 'PaD' attempts which I originally did to learn how it's done. I've seen similar shot so I figured I'd give it a go and then seen the Three's challenge so what the hell.
3rd Birthday for DPC, how appropriate and this is what I ended up submitting (don't know what I was thinking with the 3 and plus signs... funny how it all made sense at the time ;-)
oh well, still have a blast trying this out. Every week I try to do a setup shot to learn something new.
But according to all the comments I received I should have gone with one of my outtake shots. Guess that's how you learn, from voters feed back.
Here they are... just sharing...
1. 2.
Should have taken one of the outtakes? Maybe? Maybe Not? |

I like either outtake better. They are bold and simple and the wrinkles in the background of your entry are not apparent in the outtakes. Outtake 1 would have warranted a 10 from me. Your entry received 8. |

Yup. Outtake 1 for sure would have fared far better in my voting.

I would have scored outtake two MUCH higher. Original a 6, Outtake an 8 or 9

Thanks for the input guys. I'm happy to say that someone has added my outtake into their favorites... yes this is a big deal for me!
Thanks DPC! |

I didn't vote in Threes, but I dislike the one you entered most. The idea isn't so bad, but the plus signs aren't the same size and it just seems a little sloppy. Maybe if you had printed out the numbers and symbols to make them all the same style...? Outtake one, imo, is the best. Outtake 2 (and possibly 1, although less noticeable) looks like it is leaning to the right just slightly. I like the lighting on these and they came out great.
