From another mailing list i lurk in, the rumors have begun about a repleaement for hte Canon Rebel EOS300D. The leaker was fired...but he is still diggin up info.
The release date of the EOS350D/Rebel XT is the same date as the 'end of product' for hte current rebel, march 5 2005. It will be 8 Mp (the 20D sensor). The price will remain low (899 or there abouts). Same 18-55 kit lens.

Has anyone heard or read anything about this?

lol...that UPC thing has to be a hoax...but I'd say whoever 'leaked' that information made some pretty good assumptions as to what the new rebel would be all about.

I don't know much, and unfortunatly, I was fired from the company
that I found this info from on Monday...
It is called the Rebel XT(s) w/ 18-55 kit
I know it is a direct replacement for the Rebel.. as the Rebel has
an end of life date that is the same as the new model's release
date... both are 3/5/05
I don't know much more then that.. have no specfics..

I correctly leaked the 20D about a month before it dropped..
