I am new to this site and love it. I hope you don't think I am out of place make a suggestion so early.

How about a Ryder Cup of Photography, Europe versus The USA. It could be over 1 Challenge or over a few. Then the average score from the members in Europe and USA are compared with the highest winning. I don't know if this is possible, but if it is it would be good friendly competition.

I like to keep the idea that they are challenges not a competitions
IMHO it is not such a good idea to propose a competition. it is not football or a sport, simply art

Or how about Iceland v. The Rest Of The World? That would seem to be a pretty even contest ...

Really it should be the President's Cup to allow us Canadians, and other non-European nations to compete as well...Why must it be always about the Americans and Europeans!!!

Did you mean Iceland (blindfolded, hands tied behind their backs, landscape shots not permitted) v. The Rest of the World?

Only if they have Nikons. The Canon shooters from Iceland can use any technique.

no -- Iceland (blindfolded, hands tied behind their backs, no landscapes permitted, cracked lenses, and no batteries in their cameras) v. The Rest of the World.

now it might be even. :-)
