I am looking to find out if Photoshop Elements 3.0 has the ability to save .jpg files in CMYK format. I know that v2 does not, but I do not have a copy of 3 installed where I am at right now (it is at home) and cannot find the answer anywhere through Adobe's site or anything else.
To anyone that is sitting in front of a copy of 3 or knows, I thank you in advance! |

I highly doubt it, as the feature is something that a professional would use. They would make you buy CS for that.

I happen to be sitting in front of Elements 3 - but I don't see any option for JPGs being saved in CMYK format, nor is there any mention of that in the help.

I think Richard Lynch's Hidden Power of Elements 3 lets you work in CMYK. I beleive you have to save in PDF though.

| I sit in front of elements 1, 2, & 3 - and have elements 3 loaded at the moment. I try to love this program, but just can\'t..... imo, a full version of ps - almost any version from 5.0 on up is what an editor really needs. Hidden Power\'s ability to include actions and other stuff is an accomodation, and nearly not worth the effort when even old versions of ps have more extensive printing options. I would never recommend elements as a primary editor or as an interim intro to a full version, unless one got it for free. As far as CMYK is concerned - some colour mgt is probably in order, but you main problem is to make a conversion from rgb to cmyk....... I say for speed use another program that allows you to do it. |

Also, the new user interface in Elements is the pits. What were they thinking?
After paying for the upgrade to Elements 3, I ended up ordering CS. |
