Hello from Gobbler's Knob in Punxsutawney!

Sorry to say, Phil saw his shadow a bit ago...

Nice Shot Alan, hey wait is that you in photo with the top hat? Just kidding!

That's what I heard here also about Wiarton Willie in Ontario, Canada. I won't blame the rodents if they are wrong and we get an early spring. They are predicting 6 weeks ahead, can any weather person say they can do that, ha ha ;-)

On the local radio station they were specualating that, these days, Phil sees his shadow every time because of all the TV lights.

Actually, Phil can discern between natural and man-made lights... plus it was a perfectly clear sky :P

I was at least dressed warmer than these guys, not that I was complaining:

Happy Groundhog Day, Alan !

Last night I ate Groundhog's, oops, I mean Groundhog cookies from Fezell's County Market, we had Official Phil napkins, and I became an OFFICIAL card carrying Honorary Member of Punxsy Phil's Fan Club. Tammy Kerr has Groundhog Day posters all over the place down here in VA since she couldn't go home!

So Happy Groundhog Day to Punxsy from Culpeper and Amissville, Virginia!

Heard it on the news this morning and thought it was interesting...

Did you know that "Phil" is only right 28% of the time?

That's still a far cry better than our local weatherman, I think, and he only has to predict a day or two in advance.
