I want to thank everyone for the positive comments I received on my entry. I finally became a paying member a couple of weeks ago.
I submitted this pic at the last minute without much thought. I had taken a couple of shots and abandoned the idea. I tried something else the last day of the challenge and that didn't work out, so I submitted this as a backup plan. Wow! 30th place - I'm shocked.
The lighting was horrible (I'm really very ashamed). I could've set up the cds better. And the comments that were left helped me see the errors during the last week. I'm really am embarrassed, but also bouyed by the helpful comments. I see so many things I could've done better. I could've arranged the cds better, moving the row that I cropped out down to the blank spaces, stuff like that.
Here is the original, and for those that asked, there are almost 1100 cds there. On an unrelated note, I LOVE my iPod! All of my cds fit on my 60gb iPod photo and I just love it!! If anyone has some money they aren't spending on photo equipment, I highly recommend taking the leap.
Anyway, thanks for helping me see what I could've done better and next time, I will put more thought and preparation into my submissions. Thanks again for helping me see how I can improve! |
