OK, so I've not posted many pics to my portfolio this month and most of them are either b&w or without much colour. Would love to know which you think is/are the best???

I like both Dad ones and the Charlotte best. The Dad 2 is especially enticing for me; it reminds me of the photos of my dad's era. Very good look into the man. Some nice work, Andi!

I like "Rose" and I like "Dad2" in the smaller version, but the larger one is a bit "in my face" - a little too close for comfort for his strong features I think. (And if his eyes were a little more in sharper focus it would help.)
Overall, I think I like "Rose" the best. I would like to see the photo that came from. I like the effect you've given it and the expression there. It's very graphic arts looking, though - and not sure how much like her it really captures. If you want a good photo of her, I don't know if that would be the one. That would have to be your call. |

Oops - I think it was Rose that I liked better, too. Sorry!

Are Dad and Dad2 the same photo, with different treatment? I like the crop and angle of Dad2, but the B&W tones of Dad. Great portrait.

lol, you guys are posting too quickly! The pic of my daughter (Rose) looks great on my pc but here it seems kind of strange.

Yes Scot, same original and I agree the editing on the first looks better than the second, so much to learn in such little time.

Point taken Kylie ;)
Judy, as requested, the resized and unadulterated original, one of Roses 'blank' moments, she is not really bored at her 21st party (its a medical thing)

After seeing the original for "Rose", my only suggestion would be if it's possible to put a little of the hair in your edited version. Such pretty waves, I think would look good - but I'd have to see after it's done I suppose. |

My favorite is Dad, but I would love to see it in the tones of Dad2.
the more sepia tones IMO flatter your dad more then the b&w.

My favorite is Dad2. I like the crop better than the other Dad, in that one the one finger thing is kind of distracting to me. In Dad2 his eyes tell a thousand stories, and with the wide crop in the other Dad you sort of lose that. Nice job. Hopefully you have some happier photos of him for yourself.
