ok here's the deal and i know quite alot about the D70 but can't figgure this 1 out even after consulting the manual-

My D70 will take a pic.(that part is good), when i go to review it it will give me all the info (in side the camrea) the white bal., f stop it was taken/apture....etc. it is all good in the camrea...

but...when i take it into iphoto of PS(CS) for mac.OS X. the file info comes up with the apture,shutter speed, focal distance...and so on.....BUT NOT THE ISO!!!!!

the ISO setting be it 200 or 1600 reads as blank or in iphoto typical fashion -- it give no indication of anything ever having been recorded for the ISO setting....

yet pop the card back into the camera and go through the all the meany file info settings and it is right there ISO 1000(in this case)

why is this happening and how can i get my ISO file info to show?

if any1 has had this happen or can help i thank u very much for your input....

I use Opanda's IExif to view exif info. I usually shoot RAW+JPEG so if I need to check the ISO of a file I just check the JPEG.

//www.opanda.com/en/iexif/

It also tells you how many total pictures you've taken if you didn't turn on continous file counting before your first picture. I'm up to 9046. heh.

The D70 doesn't store the ISO figure where every other camera on the planet does, so most software won't spot it. You have to use something like Nikon's PictureProject to look it up.

dang it, but thanks that is good to know. Oh well it will keep my memory sharp to try and remember the ISOs.

if there is a program i'm sure there has got to be another other than nikons lame softwhere.

Well, I just installed PictureProject; it might be lame but it's not that big an issue just to use it to look up the ISO.

But, if you have an objection to that then spend a minute or two with Google looking for other programs that display EXIF data. A very quick hunt brings up Irfanview which definitely will pull the ISO out of a Nikon file (I just checked). Whether or not it still counts as 'lame' is, I suspect, a personal thing.

shoot a shot in RAW and then go look at PS CS it is in there. Not sure why not in jpg's in PS CS. Don't care that I shoot in RAW all the time anyway.
