Or maybe imitate any female photographer. I'd have fun with a Cindy Sherman take-off. |

I don't see why not! The guys in here will probably scoff and boo and not want to shoot cute stuff ;)

Not all the guys :)
I'm generally not a fan of Anne Geddes' work.. it's a little too "posed" for the most part.. lacks emotion. However, I got a calender of hers in 2004 that shows another side of her, some branching out. It was wonderful photography, and I hope she continues with it. |

OK - I know what Artyste is up to and she is called Megan (sp?)!!!! I will swap out with him on this one, and say I am one of the women who would hate this challenge. I guess I had better go get my helmet out now! lol

It would be a cool challenge, but no access to babies, so I will sit out :(

I think most of her stuff is extremely tacky and kitschy, and very far from cute. |

Let me chime in as another male Ann Geddes fan. I don't really care for her "kids in flower pots" stuff, but the images of moms and new babies that she created in Pure are jaw droppingly amazing to me. (and this gallery page doesn't even show the best images)

For anyone who isn't aware of her work. She stuffs kids in costumes, and/or panty hose.

ROFL If I was to try and get my cat in that getup I would have to have the ambulance on speed-dial. Or at least invest in johnson & johnson stock before making the attempt. The cat is already glaring at me for just thinking about it... giving me evil yellow kitty eyes. LOL

Yup, I could not have put that better myself.
I hate the flowers stuff, reminds me too much of the photo booths you see in shopping centers, Pixie Photos they are called here.
However, some of her more natural work is sensational.

Hell yes to this challenge, but not till about the beginning of April as me and my wife are having a baby around the 10th of march. I would soooooo kick your butts because if my new baby is half as cute as my son was when he was only a few weeks old you don´t stand a chance.

I think the images in the calender I have are from that book.

I think it should be all female photographers. I would have to do cuningham (sp?). I have to say she is what made me pic up photography.

The one reason I would not like to see this as a challenge though, unless broadened somehow, is that it would not be fair as a lot of people would not have access to a baby. Luckily I do, but I still think it unfair to many (the majority???).
