I guess you can only respond a hundred times on a post?
I love controversy. His photograph of "In the Twilight" has got a lot of attention. I think we have opened a can of worms by allowing editing. The rules are vague to me and I wish someone would break it down for me so I can use the editing to the full extent. You can do a lot of things without spot editing. Maybe there should be opened editing for all competitions.

The Rules page still says "no spot editing". Did they post somewhere that they changed the rules or that they had reached a decision about the photo? I wish I had been smart enough to realize what I saw was an edit and recommend it for DQ then. We wouldn't have had so many people getting so hot about it. For the record, I still love the photo (I gave it a nine.), and I think the photographer has been cool about the whole thing, but I do think that either it ought to be DQ'ed or we should be allowed to do any spot editing.

Spot editing is not allowed, and the rules will always say the final verdict. If you're ever unsure about an edit, check them before you make it or contact us if you're unsure.
