I am having a bear of a time locating specifics regarding the conversion lenses for the Canon Powershot A85 camera. We just picked one up and I have an idea that my wife will want to get something more out of that camera in time.
The trouble is, there is no easy to find information on those conversion lenses. I have checked the Canon web-site and in the 'accessories' section for that camera they list the components, but not anything extra about them.
Anyone know of any places that has specifics about these conversion lenses?
Thanks. |

I have the Canon 1.6X teleconverter for my Powershot S1 and it works great. Good luck finding info on it before buying though, I couldn't find much.

I have a Focus (Japan) X2 teleconverter for my A70 that I bought from a local store in China for ~60$. It's OK. Nothing extraordinary but it does the work. Purple fringing (colour abberation it's a problem) but can be fixed in PS.

A good resource is B&H or Adorama. Both carry lots of accessories and knock-offs that are typically much, much cheaper than the name brands, but with not much loss of quality. Just type in the type of camera and run a search...that'll bring back lots of good stuff to waste money on.
Happy shooting.
