I took these shots today, using my new Alien Bees. (well, one of them anyway). My daughter wasn't too interested in modeling for me. I actually had to clone out a few little tears, does that make me a bad mom? :) No smiles, but the family will love it anyway.
I am pleased with my first studio lighting attempt, but I have lots to learn and improve. I would love to hear any comments or suggestions.

That is TOO cute elizabeth! I am actually shooting one for my daughter this week and I LOVE the idea! I may have to steal a influence or two from you! Gorgeous daughter also! If that was your first time with the studio lighting too, you will catch on quick. Great work!

The idea and the model are both adorable!!!
As a mother of two, I can fully sympathize with how difficult it must have been to get those 4 poses.
I find it all just a touch too dark, would like to see a little bit more light on her. |

Thank you for all your kind words! I agree that it is a little dark, with just the key light. My next try will use the second light as a fill. So much to learn, but I am really enjoying it.
