I was working on these yesterday, any comments, good or bad.

Thanks,

I am not a fan of photos of "dolls", or toys or knicknacks, and do not care for that one. Not based on your photography skills, but on my own personal feelings.

The second one, though I find it to be just the tiniest bit creepy feeling, I find oddly compelling. I like the spot of color in the eye, and the reflection of the eye, I like the juxtaposition of textures between the water, face and fabric. As a whole, the image really grabs you.

I do not like that the composition in divided in halves. Though I agree that "rules" don't always apply, in this case, I think that I would prefer to see about 2/3 water, and 1/3 face/head. I think that just a bit more water in the shot would give the "underwater" feel a little more power.

Like everything dpc, opinions and personal preferences will vary greatly, and I hope that you are not offended. Simply wanted to tell you what I was thinking and feeling about the shots.

Good job on the images, the only thing I really see that should probably be fixed is the second image...I think you had some sort of border around it but when you added the water, the border does not extend down around the water. Doesn't look right in my eyes.

the doll photo is just a bit weird, I think the hard light isn't helping. The second one is based around and photoshop filter. I think you should find a lake and put a huge lady with a cloak on in it, and then take the picture. Keep it up.
