I have a very odd request. Can someone send me a picture of a d60 camera with the compact flash door open? Please? Pretty Please? I have a friend (who is just looking for a point and shoot camera) and is looking to buy a d60. He has been offered one for 1000.00 Canadian (seems high to me but...). The main feature he has been sold on is the d60 having a metal compact flash door.

I have a 10d and 20d myself but he considers those doors to be less sturdy then what he is looking for. I just want a picture (or two or three so don't be shy) that shows the compact flash door open and how the hinge works. Please email me the picture to
C.and.m.fox@nospam@gmail.com
(just remove the nospam tag)

Thanks for all your help!

here is the CF door on the D60. It is NOT metal, its plastic with a metal hinge/supports. 1000.00 canadian for a used D60 is pretty steep. Thats more than what I paid for my used D60 a few years ago.

The 300D hinge and door is the same as that, with metal inside. I wouldn't imagine the 10D or 20D to not have it. Also, thats the most minor thing I've ever heard of to sell a camera on. I've never heard of anyone's door falling off. Surely the camera features are more important?

your welcome. I have had my D60 2 years now and no problems with the CF door.
