My sister is pregnant and wanted me to take a specific photo for her. She referenced a photo she seen a while back where the woman was pregnant looking into the mirror and the reflection was her with her newborn baby. I was wondering about the kind of setup needed for such a shot and hopefully to find a sample of the photo to look at.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is one of the best pregnant pictures I have seen in here, could be a cool thing to do to try and imitate this :)

The first picture I took of my wife in late 2000. The next two are of her recent pregnancy. Hope this helps. |

Take 2 pictures of her, one of her looking into a full-length mirror from some oblique angle and one of her in the same pose holding a baby.
Open the second (with the baby), copy the mirror reflection by selecting it and using cntrl-c, be sure the edges are feathered on the selection.
Open the first, hit cntrl-v to paste the cloned reflection. Adjust as needed.
Use a tripod, of course, so the mirror is exactly the same spot and angle.

/edit: and a number of others Maternity Poses here, to get the thoughts flowing. There is no real reason to limit to just one pose, is there?

Thanks Britannica. This is exactly the kind of photo she was looking for. That gives me some ideas on how to do this.

The mirror shot is pretty cool but I really don't like his execution.(the white silky sheet in the back??? I guess it's supposed to give it a "dreamy" feel).
I think jlsnads shot will be way better! |
