this is the current pricing i got
used Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 HSM EX lens < used Canon 70-200 f4 L < used Canon 70-200 f2.8 L(non IS)
Assuming the condition of the used lens is good, does the price diff reflects the quality of the images produce in such a big range? I am looking to buy the Canon 70-200 f2.8 non IS

The Canon 70-200 f/2.8L probably is not any sharper then the Canon 70-200 f/4L. Nothing you would notice. I don't know exactly how the Sigma 70-200mm F/2.8HSM EX measures against the Canon lenses but I do know it is also a very sharp lens. Probably Sigma's sharpest zoom. Get what you can afford. They are all three very good lenses.

According to Photozone the F4L has better optical qlty, and is the cheapest.
