Does Anyone know if the Hot Shoe Adapter that Alien Bees sell will work with the Canon 300D? I've been reading some of the forums and can't find the info. But I did read that some hot shoe adapters may need a voltage regulator.

I just ordered a b800 from Alien Bees and the PC Sync voltage is less than 6V. I couldn't find any information that shows if the Hot Shoe on the 300D can support this.

PLEASE HELP!!

I use it all the time with B800s and a 300D.

Thanks!!

Do you find that you need to use a light meter with the B800's?

Probably, but I just wing it. With digital it's no big deal to pop off a few shots at different settings and look at the histogram.

I guess I will use the "Trial and Error" technique before throwing down $$$ for a light meter. Maybe in the future.

BTW, Thanks for the quick response. Much Appreciated!!

Another question on this. My D70 does not have a PC connection. I keep reading that any flash will trip it and then read that one needs to be connected to the camera. So, do i need to have the hotshoe adapter? Put up an order today (hooray for tax money coming back!!), need to know if I need to order that to get here by sat.

thankd

This one is wired but excellent economy pc connect fits into the hot shoe of my rebel and works fine. Has voltage filter.
