Ok maybe a stupid question or maybe this has already been asked (Did a search...nothing) Does it have to show a number "3" or can it be three objects in the picture.

Since it clearly states: "anything relating to the number 3", I'm sure that either one will be suitable.
However, your guess is as good as mine in regards to voting appeal.

"Photograph anything relating to the number 3"

something like The Three Musketeers fits the challenge well IMO.

and....... dont forget to not use the word 'three' in your
title! get marked down for it apparently.

I believe this is just a remark as to the "pickiness" of certain voters; believing that the title shouldn't explain the picture because it should speak on it's own.

I don't ascribe to that belief.

If you want to put "Three" in the title then there is nothing stopping you. However as this is a "Three" challenge, it goes without saying that there will be a relationship to three in the image.

A number of people feel, I am one of these that, being creative with the title assist in the overall representation.

So rather than saying
1 - 3 Mile Island
2 - 3 Blind Mice
3 - 3 Degrees

So maybe try something a little more subtle,

1 - Tragedy
2 - Visually Impaired Rodents
3 - No Diana Ross

More like be creative. If you took a great picture of 3 dogs, and used "3 Dogs" as the title, voters may think - Duh!
Take a look at the Challenge Archives to get a feel of what others use - may be of help.

Perhaps we can dispense with the photograph altogether and just vote on who has the cutes title, that might be fun.

Why not have a challenge with "Title" as a theme. Free to interprete it anyway you want. I'd love to see all the original pictures that would come out.

I'm just so happy to hear this all. When I get that stupid low score I sometimes get then it is not at all my lousy photo but just my lousy title that makes that low score. I feel so much better if I'm bad in titles than in photos!

But I think there will be some "3" in the title of my submission to the "3" challenge but not at all like "3 Eskimos" or something like that.

And I am looking forward to that "title" challenge!

I am actually amazed at how well my entry is doing so far. I know it's difficult to get above a 6. But these are my stats as of right now. And to be honest...I can't believe someone put this as a favorite as well as two comments telling me they scored 10!!! First time I've done this good.

thank you goodman...that made my day. See when I shoot pictures..I am SOOO amateur about it. I don't really put much thought into it yet. don't know why. Imagine what I could come out with if I thought about it.

WOW....I actually made it into the top 30 in the 3 challenge..just barely! I'm suprised!!! I made 29th place. i didn't think i would get that high.
How's everybody else done?
And congrats to the top 3 winners!!!

Hey, you beat me by one spot and I just squeezed into the 30th spot. Congrads, great shot you have there and I think it would have scored high if it wasn't for that 4th tree trying to sneak into your shot. Damn trees, I tell you. I had a problem with my shot two, I picked the wrong one to submit .... Oh well... here's my Outtakes

i got very close with 4th, I actually didnt think I would get that high with the score I had, I thought i would be somewhere in the 10-20th range. But im happy over all.

I actually rated 29th and 30th place my best. I gave them a 10.
