A few months ago, you might recall the "Calendar" challenge. I totally misinterpreted the challenge, an entered an image that kicked off a whole month of sub-5 scores. When I realized what I should have done for the challenge, I posted this image to my portfolio

which I titled "Absolute Regret" as a lament for not having entered it for the challenge.

To a large degree, I've turned things around. I'm not quite where I want to be challenge-wise, but I'm getting there.

I don't know exactly how this came to be, but what I'm about to share with you goes to show that DPC is about much, much, much more than challenge scoring. When I was approached about this, I was somewhat amazed. When I saw what was done, I was absolutely stunned. Words will never express what this means to me. Thank you, Lesley.

First, I think it is a fabulous picture that could never come into it's own right in an open forum like this... not trying to be funny or negative. Secondly, Lesley is a master who did justice to your photo.. How lucky can one be.

Wow! What a wonderful gift! Someone did that for me once- I've got a framed pastel drawing of one of my photos hanging on the wall. It really is touching that anyone would go to all that trouble out of pure kindness.

If you check Lesley's profile and follow her links, you'll be even more stunned at observing her true talents.

That's so cool! I've been using photography to inspire my own art for years so I can see the inspiration behind her painting. Good for you! It must be a great feeling to know you've inspired someone else :)

Even if you didn't -- we're glad he did! How else would we know how talented an artist you are?
