I have been using the hack for about half a year and have had on issues with it except for the early battery drain signal. For those not familiar with this issue it seems that the hack somehow throws the batterey remaining sensor off reporting that the batterey is draining ffaster than it actually is. It does not effect batttery life, just the reporting thereof.
DP review forum asked who has the Wasia hack. many do and very few report any issues.

I installed it and then reinstalled the canon software as a test. worked fine. I have heard of people who suffered a catasrophic failure with the hack installed. Canon did the repair without comment. I think the "this will void your warrantee" worry is overstated.

I have the hack on me Rebel. Back in September 2004, I decided to bring my camera into Canon for a sensor cleaning. The tech had to go to the menu which allows you to enter cleaning mode (Tools menu). Just down from the cleaning option is where you find the "added" CF menu. There's no way he didn't see it. They did not say a word! My camera was still under warranty at that time.

I also believe the "this will void your warranty" comment to be VERY exagerated. I have not heard of anybody actually being subjected to a voided warranty because of the hack .

Try it. It's really worth it.
